Please stay off the new grass at the rifle range with vehicles: We’ve planted a mixture of food plot, cover, and erosion control mix on the areas that have been graded at the rifle range, including the 100 and 200 yard bearms and the areas immediately in front of them. please stay off the new growth and give the grass a chance to get established. A little bit of walking might do us all some good!

Target Frames Have Been Repaired AGAIN: Please help them last by NOT taping targets to the uprights: there are plenty clothespins for that. If you see someone misusing the range facilities, contact a Board Member-----get a vehicle description, tag no & description of the abuser only---no need to risk a confrontation----and we’ll handle it.

A Safety Note: Back during deer season, a near-miss happened at the rifle range that could have ended very tragically.

Here’s what happened: a large group of shooters (7---8) were at the range and had taken a break. While this was going on, a new shooter showed up and went down to set up some targets-----without telling anyone at the firing line he was about to do so. (This shooter also had on a tan coat that matched the color of the 100 yard backstop!!!) A shooter at the far-left side of the firing line did not notice this member had gone downrange and fired his rifle at the same backstop! Fortunately, he was stopped after the first shot and no harm was done.
