****Please note: Due to unpredictable attendance levels at each event, pre-registration is the only way to lock-in a guaranteed chance to shoot in competition, and there must be at least five (5) shooters in each category in order to earn points. Points will be awarded for participation and placing. For those unfamiliar with Skeet, some days or evenings will be scheduled as a “Get to know it” or “Refresher” days. As this is a CLUB Championship, only Members may compete. Fees are as follows: Rifle & Pistol: $10/firearm/category for Members; $20 for non-members. Shotgun fees are the customary ones already set. Note: Non-Members may participate, but will not be awarded points, and if turnout for a shoot is heavy, Pre-Registered Members competing for Championship Points will be given preference in setting up the relays so that a Non-Member may not get to shoot.
The Annual Joe Young Tournament is coming up soon: Saturday, August 16 th, so mark your calendars. $100 entry fee for all. We need sponsors to help put this on, too! A majority of the proceeds will go to the Ashe Partnership for Children’s Christmas Gift Program. Reminder to All Members: please lock all gates when you leave------maybe some of our equipment won’t be so prone to “grow legs” and walk off!
We are still offering a $200 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person and/or persons who vandalized the generator house and almost burned down the shelter at the skeet field earlier this year. Keep your eyes and ears open and help us catch these perps! Call Club Secretary or any Board Member if you have any information on this incident.
